A collective artwork created with Mexican artist Olga Hernández, paired with a Tequila Volcán de mi Tierra tasting, at Domus Brickell Park — part of the XIV Huellas del Arte International Festival.

Miami is getting more colorful. We joined Mexican artist Olga Hernández (@olgahdzarte) to create a collective artwork at Domus Brickell Park (@domusflats), talking about her process and how collective art transforms the places we call home.

One canvas, many hands

The idea was simple and powerful: a single canvas and an open invitation to paint on it. Guided by Olga, residents, neighbors and guests added strokes and color until the piece became a shared portrait of the community that made it possible.

As the work grew, Olga spoke about her creative process and about what happens when art stops being something you look at and becomes something you make together: the space changes, and so does the way the people who live in it relate to one another.

Art and tequila: Mexico in Brickell

The evening was paired with a tasting of Tequila Volcán de mi Tierra, which brought another language of Mexican culture to the experience: its flavors, its origin and its tradition.

Thanks to Arlette Garcia, director of the Instituto Cultural de México en Miami (@icm_miami), and to the Consulate General of Mexico in Miami (@consulmexmia) for supporting Mexican culture in our city.

Part of the XIV Huellas del Arte International Festival

This gathering is part of the Huellas del Arte International Festival, now celebrating its fourteenth edition and continuing to bring Latin American art to the Downtown and Brickell community.

Alejandro Rojas, founder of Huellas del Arte, took the opportunity to thank North Development for its support of these cultural initiatives, allowing its buildings to serve as meeting places for culture in Brickell.
